Choosing a business model for your business, whether it’s online or offline, can be a little tricky.  It also depends on the type of product that you’re selling.  One of the best business models to work for businesses recently is the “freemium” model.

What is “freemium?  Basically, it’s a combination of “free” and “premium”, in consumer language, these are no better words. :) Freemium is when you give away a core product or service and then you sell a premium product or service to a smaller percentage of free using customers. With freemium, the key is to get a ton of subscribers/customers through organic search marketing, word of mouth and referral networks   But, if you’re in the business of making money, then freemium can be your road to the riches or doom and gloom. What I Learned from Creating an iPhone App

Not too long ago, I got my first application in the guarded halls of Apple’s  iTunes App Store.  (Please.  Save your applause. :)  It’s really a great feeling.  Creating an application is an awesome option to have in your residual income portfolio.  I’m not a coder or programmer, but I guess I could be classified as a developer.  I liked coming up with the idea of the app and I have several other ideas swimming around in my head.  Once I create a few more, I’m gonna sit down and start dedicating my time to learning how to code for iPhone and Android applications.  Because right now, those are the two dominant mobile operating systems.
