Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines!
If you’ve been following the blog, you know that starting today, I’m hosting a 30 Day Product Challenge. What that means is that if you create something, like say a ebook, manifesto, or anything between today and December 15th, I want to feature you in a post.
If you want to be featured in the post, just send me a message on my contact page here. In your message, include your name, short description of your product and a link to where people can download it.
Couple of my friends like Pawel Grabowski, Thomas Sinfield and David Shaw are already in.
I’m really excited to see what people are going to come up with for this. The initial idea for this came about when I was writing a post about my ebook. And then I figured I would encourage and challenge others to do the same thing. Especially for people who have never committed to creating a product before.
Why Only 30 Days?
I wanted to keep it a simple 30 days so there wouldn’t be any added pressure to create something like a full blown software program or 12 part series (which you absolutely can, if you like!
). But I just wanted people to create something that wouldn’t take an exorbitant amount of time to produce. I chose an ebook because I think it’s do-able. It won’t be a 50 or 60 pager, but I hope it’s enough to satisfy folks who can really use it. 30 days is just enough time to think of an idea, plan and draft it and create it.
This is my first attempt at trying to create a project bigger than an iPhone app, so go easy on me. :D
Because of the holidays are this time, I will compile all the entries into one (hopefully) gigantic post after the first of the year. I want to start off 2011 with a bang. And with this project, we ALL can start with a bang.
What Do I Win for Participating?
There aren’t any prizes, sweet cheeks! But, you do get the satisfaction of knowing that you pushed yourself to create something. And hopefully, this will get the juices flowing so that you will create more products! I call that a “win-win”! ( Yeah, I came up with that all by myself.)
If you’re intrigued by this project but don’t want to participate, hit me up on Twitter to show your support.
Oh yeah……..GO!
